COVID-19, An Update From Riley Studio

The safety of our staff, our global supply chain and our community is of paramount importance to us so there are a number of measures we have implemented to provide reassurance and comfort to all.

Shipping & Delivery
Although we are dispatching our orders within our regular timeframes, the closing of non-essential retail stores has put delivery networks under increased pressure. As a result, there may be a delay in the delivery of your order but you can follow this via your tracking details.
All our carriers offer contactless delivery, and have implemented additional hygiene measures to protect their workers and the people they are delivering to.
Returns
To protect the welfare of our customers we have extended our Returns policy from 14 days to 60 days. We hope this offers more flexibility and limits any unnecessary travel.
Our Fulfilment Centre
Our online store remains open and at the time of writing this, our fulfilment team is operating without delays.
Our fulfilment centre is a family owned business and the warehouse is based in Suffolk. We have a close working relationship with them and stay in daily communication to monitor this ever-evolving situation together. They have made necessary changes to protect their workforce, including a reduced workforce density at the warehouse, along with putting additional hand washing and sanitizing measures in place. Anyone deemed ‘at risk’ is working from home, and only those that are happy to do so, are coming in.
All deliveries that arrive at the warehouse go into quarantine for 48 hours before they touch and open them, meaning any returns are taking a little longer to process than usual.
The Riley Studio Team
It is with huge sadness that we furloughed the majority of the Riley Studio team as of Monday 6th April. This was an incredibly difficult decision, and not one we took lightly. However, we felt it a necessary and responsible measure to take to sustain the future of the business, giving us a chance to have a business for them to come back to once this all blows over. Over the past year we have built a brand we are all very proud of, and we hope to continue pioneering the fashion industry well into the future.
We currently have a skeleton team operating to support any customer services queries.
Our Global Team
Our global team is so important to us at Riley Studio, and we value every person across the whole supply chain. Now, more than ever, we’re all grasping just how connected we all are to each other, whether that is the fashion industry or the world as a whole.
Our manufacturers in Portugal have closed their factories until the end of April, to maintain the safety of all their staff and will continue to monitor the situation should this need to be extended.
Our UK factory remains open, but with a reduced workforce to comply with the 2 metre social distancing rules and additional safety measures in place. They are supporting the efforts in manufacturing vital NHS PPE and we continue to support them in their efforts.
Collection 04
As with so many small brands, our world has been turned upside down by the global pandemic, but every day we are reminded and try to live and operate by our values. One of the hardest decisions was to put our manufacturing of our latest Collection 04 on hold, but the safety of our global team comes first.
A huge amount of work has already gone into creating our latest Collection 04, which was due to launch at the end of April, and as a result we are committed to honouring all production. Despite the financial uncertainty we face, we will not be cancelling any styles or orders but carrying them forward as and when we can start production again.
Riley Studio products are designed for life, not just a season, for this very reason. We are not tied to any particular season, giving our collections longevity. By creating versatile, transitional pieces we aren’t held to any timeframes, allowing us the freedom and clarity to make the best decisions for our global team.
We hope we will be able to bring our Collection 04 out in the not too distant future and will update our community when we can.
