We’ve finally opened the doors to the Riley Studio Concept Store! We’re so excited to be in Notting Hill and we can’t wait to welcome you into the store. With our theme ‘From Waste to Wardrobe’, join us to discover how we use eco-innovation to transform waste in gender-neutral wardrobe staples.
Debuting our latest Collection 03, inspired by the raw landscapes of Scotland, we have an array of products to keep you warm this winter, including our Recycled Cashmere Sweaters, Beanies and Scarves. We have also collaborated with Essence + Alchemy to develop a bespoke blend of essential oils to reflect the inspiration behind our collection. Named Woodland Dew, our blend of Black Spruce, Vetiver, Cedarwood and Fir Needle has been made into exclusive, hand-made candles and diffusers.
To complement our collection, we have chosen a selection of our favourite sustainable brands to sell in store as well. These include Ocean Bottle, By Sarah London, Guppyfriend, frank green and REN Skincare, offering you sustainable solutions and alternatives to everyday items you might use.
The Store Design
When we first set our sights on opening a Concept Store, we knew that we had to make every aspect as sustainable as possible. After months of planning and lots of work behind the scenes, we partnered with some incredible like-minded people to turn our vision into a reality. The first step was working with Appear Here to find the perfect space, not the easiest job in the run up to Christmas!
For our window display, we partnered with Lipley and Parker to build a series of display boxes to exhibit some of our raw materials, from textile waste to plastic bottles. Their build embraced our ideals as they used FSC sustainably grown European Oak and recycled perspex. We collected all of the plastic waste from our WeWork office, so a huge thank you to everyone there for helping us. These boxes will now be used by us for all of our future events and pop ups, as they are also versatile and durable.
Finding furniture to fit our brand identity was a big challenge for us, until Found Pop came to the rescue. They enabled us to rent beautifully engineered furniture, from plinths to rails to our cash desk. Their team helped us to assemble everything as well, so saved us from some heavy lifting!
Everything else in the store was borrowed, sourced second hand or made sustainably.
In partnership with Stories Behind Things, we’re also collecting pre-loved clothing donations, which will then go to their next Clothes Switch.
